Rush Hour never saw commercial release. The game appeared in catalogues and even prototype boxes exist. While Rush Hour appears to be fairly complete in terms of gameplay, there are some obvious bugs and features not yet implemented that demonstrate the game was not quite ready for release.
Save the Whales
Save the Whales was going to benefit Green Peace but the game was never released and no funds were raised. The other games were Dutch Elm Defender and Attack of the Baby Seals, although neither of those two were ever programmed. You control a submarine whose mission is to protect the whales at the bottom of the screen from the whaling ship at the top of the screen. Harpoons and nets are thrown down at the whales and you must shoot them before they hit the whales or your submarine. You can take five hits before the game is over and all the whales die.
The scuba diver who sits in the boat is controlled by moving the joy stick. When the fish are not beneath the diver, it is safe for him to jump into the water. The diver must reach a certain depth before you can control him and safely move in any direction. As the diver is under the water, the time will reduce second by second. The diver must return to the boat before the oxygen supply is used up.
Sea Battle is a strategic game where each player controls a fleet of ships including submarines, destroyers and battleships. The goal is to engage and sink enemy ships. The winner is the player who commands the troop transport ship into the opponent’s harbor. There are two phases in Sea Battle
Blast away at enemy helicopters and ships in your jet fighter. You are equipped with missiles and bombs. If the enemy missile hits your plane, eject and the parachute will guide you to safety without loss of life. There are no levels to complete or bosses to beat, and gameplay can continue for as long as you can last.
Dive for treasure in perilous waters infested with man-eating fish and vicious sea monsters. Be careful to choose just the right moment to dive into the water because you cannot defend yourself while you are diving.
Your mission is to take on sea monster that are attacking your ship. The deeper in the ocean the monster is, the more points you receive once it is killed. The game ends when all of your ships have been destroyed. Game-play is for one or two players, and several game variations are available which control the speed and difficulty.
Your divers have retrieved the buried treasure, and now you must come to their rescue. The object of Seaquest is to retrieve as many treasure-divers as you can, while dodging and blasting enemy subs and killer sharks before your oxygen runs out.
Move from room to room, fighting as you go. You must defeat the enemy, you get an energy pod or oxygen bottle. Fighting aliens depletes you energy and/or oxygen so kill quickly that it is imperative to kill the enemy quickly in order to get their energy bottles. Along the way, you will sometimes find sonic keys, and energy sword, sonic blaster or particle beam. Sonic keys are needed for certain doors you encounter in later stations.
You are a deep sea diver in search of a fabulous treasure of diamonds that spilled from a Spanish galeon that sank during a fierce storm in the early sixteenth century. Dive deep into the murky darkness of Dave Jones Locker, and enter the shark-infested maze of kelp to retrieve the treasure.
In this game you get points by shooting at target of various sizes and shapes. The smaller the target and the faster it is moving, the more points you receive form hitting it. Targets include trains, snails, frogs, kangaroos, monkeys, and more. At the top of the screen is a cuckoo clock which counts down to 0 and when that happens, the cuckoo will eat some of your remaining ammo. To avoid this from happening, shot at the clock to restart the timer. Bonus points are awarded every 20,000 points.
Your mission is to assist the International Space Station. Get ten parts from an orbiting factory to an incomplete space station. Because a comet recently passed near Earth, there is a debris field that you must avoid. After the launch, you will see the Earth being circled by four coloured dots. Your instruments include elapsed time, remaining fuel and four indicator bars.
To fight your way to the castle, kill the dragon, save the maiden and start another quest – points are awarded for defeating the creatures – highest score wins.
In Skeet Shoot, your goal is to earn as many points as you can by shooting clay pigeons. Shoot the clay pigeon before it disappears off the screen to earn a point. The game can be played by one or two players, and numerous game variations are included which control the level of difficulty, speed, and whether a player appears in a fixed or random location on the screen.
Your goal is to score the most points by jumping from a plane, opening your parachute and guiding your sky diver safely to a landing pad. The longer you wait to open your parachute, the more points you earn for a successful landing. pay attention to the wind conditions which blow your sky diver off course. A wind sock at the bottom of the screen will help you determine the wind speed and direction so you can compensate. There are nine jumps total, and the player with the most points at the end wins.
You pilot a plane to animals that were placed by gorillas. Start by flying over a gorilla and drop a bomb, knocking the gorilla off its feet. The animals will then get out of their cages. In order to rescue them, a simple touch will do. Do not take too long on the rescue as you will run out of fuel and that is bad for everyone. Running out of fuel, running into a gorilla or the course walls or, strangely, a cloud, you lose a plane.
Your mission is to guide your space ship though a solar cell matrix and collect solar cells. When the matrix is filled with solar cells, you move on to the next round. Each matrix is guarded by two sentinels which will stop at nothing to stop you. As you are unarmed, keep your eyes sharp. The game ends when you have lost all of your space ships.
In this space invader clone, move your base left or right to shoot the endless waves of aliens marching towards earth. You have four shields but eventually they will be destroyed either by enemy missiles or by the enemies themselves. The aliens’ descent quickens as you eliminate them. Shoot the flying saucer for extra points. This is a high resolution single player game.
Fly your fighter and blast your way throw your enemies in order to conquer the galaxy.
In this classic 1980s arcade game, Earth is under attack from several rows of bomb dropping aliens. Defending the planet with your laser cannon and have three shields for defence. The shields don’t last forever, so be quick and kill off the aliens. The aliens march back and forth. Each time the end of the screen is reached they will drop one row closer to the bottom. As you shoot them, they speed up making the last ones the hardest to kill.
